Recordings to demonstrate how regular guitar and music tuition, along with practice, develop progressively towards you becoming an accomplished classical guitarist.
A simple sounding melody, however the left & right hand skills that you can learn from these early pieces form the foundation for a solid classical guitar technique. This tune is usually achieved with 2 months of weekly tuition.
One of my own compositions. This piece has a texture of an upper- or higher-pitched Melody, supported by a lower-pitched Bass or Accompaniment. Maybe 9 to 12 months of tuition. And you would be reading from music notation by then!
By studying classical guitar you can develop great technique that will enable you to explore different musical styles or genres. These 12 Bar Blues Tunes incorporate many essential classical guitar skills. With focused attention to your practice these pieces can be achieved in a couple of years.
A Cuban patriotic folk song, here given a lively and upbeat tempo. I would suggest that this is an early intermediate level piece. Maybe 3 years ahead for a dedicated student.
A traditional English folk song from the North East. Here arranged with an arpeggio texture that also incorporates a melodic vocal line. A challenging piece but well worth the dedication to perhaps 4 or 5 years of study.
An advanced arrangement of a well loved Baroque chamber orchestral piece by the German composer Johann Pachelbel. Like all musicians, I am also continually working on my own development using pieces such as this.
If you're inspired by the sound of the classical guitar and would like to learn and advance your classical guitar playing skills, then contact me.
